After breakfast you drive to Arusha National Park for a morning game drive with picnic lunch. This is one of the smaller national parks in Tanzania, but it has a rich variety of wildlife and landscapes. From the swampy Ngurudoto Crater and alkaline lakes to dense jungle and the towering peaks of Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro. After your picnic lunch enjoy a peaceful and scenic canoeing safari on Momella Lake. On this 2 hours canoe safari you can view buffaloes, bushbuck, giraffes, hippos, birds and beautiful views of Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro (on a clear day).

Drive today across the only active volcano in East Africa, Oldonyo Lengai, towards Lake Natron. On the way you can enjoy amazing landscapes and the traditional Maasai. Lake Natron is the most important breeding site for flamingos in the world and the only breeding site for flamingos in East Africa.  The crust created by the alkali salt sometimes gives the lake a stunning red or pink hue, or even orange in the more shallow parts, by the microorganisms that live there. Today you also visit the big Engarasero waterfall.

Today starts, after breakfast, with a game drive in Lake Manyara National park. This park is known for its huge soda lake filled with pink-hued flamingos, large population of baboons, incredible birdlife and breathtaking views. You can see giraffes, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, zebras, flamingos and if you are lucky you spot a tree-climbing lion. In the late afternoon you will continue to Rift Valley Photographic Lodge for dinner.  After dinner you will depart for night game drive in lake Manyara national park to look for animals that are hardly seen in day light like porcupine, aardvark, genets, bush babies and others. This is also a unique opportunity for you to experience the Wild Africa at night as you listen to the different animal sounds.

Today you go on a morning an afternoon game drive in the famous Serengeti National Park. If you want to spot the Big Five – lion, elephant, leopard, rhino and buffalo- all in one park, the Serengeti is one of the best places to do so. The abundance of wildlife in this park is unmatched anywhere else in Africa. Depending which time of the year you visit this park, you can also witness the Great Migration. It’s an impressive experience to see all those hoofed mammals, followed by iconic predators like lions, migrate in a clockwise circle every year.

Another day of morning and afternoon game viewing in the Serengeti. If you want to see the kings of the jungle, the Serengeti is the place to be. With so many wildebeest, gazelles and zebras present it is no wonder the Serengeti is also home to 4,000 lions and 1,000 leopards. Apart from the Big Five the Serengeti boasts the cheetah, jackal, hyena, serval, aardvark, pangolin, porcupine, crocodiles, giraffe, python, black mamba, spitting cobra, ostrich, martial eagle, lovebirds and vultures, just to name a few. Enjoy this supreme game viewing and return to you’re in the late afternoon. After shower meet your safari guide at the fire place for a cold Kilimanjaro beer or glass of wine as he gives you a short history of Tanzania from pre-colonial time.

Set off towards the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive with picnic lunch. It shelters close to 30.000 animals including the Big Five. The crater teems with zebras, buffaloes, lions, wildebeest, warthogs, baboons, elephants, flamingos, ostriches, hippos, cheetahs and a small population of the rare black rhino. The beautiful colors and dancing clouds make the crater almost surreal. Because of its natural beauty the Ngorongoro Crater is chosen as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders.

This day will be full of culture, with interesting encounters with a local tribe. After breakfast, you drive to Lake Eyasi. This is an untouched and scenically beautiful area where you can get a real insight into the way of life of the Hadzabe Bushmen. This tribe hunt on wild animals with bow and arrows, eating roots, honey and wild fruits. Visit their habitat and experience their culture first hand. You go with the Bushman on a game walk and participate in their real-life activities such as hunting. For a lot of people these are one of the most valuable and memorable experiences of their safari.

Rise up early for a game drive in Tarangire National Park with picnic breakfast. This lovely park is the kingdom of elephants, birds and baobabs. With four of the Big Five residing within the park, this park is a great spot. If you are lucky you can even spot the tree-climbing python. In the afternoon you will continue to Sangaiwe lodge for shower. In the evening you do a bird watching around the camp with your safari guide.

On this last day of your safari, you drive back to Arusha for lunch and then continue to Kilimanjaro International Airport for you departure flight.

We transfer into Lake Manyara for morning game drive and lunch, a classic safari picnic, and enjoy our final glimpse of the great wilds of the Northern Tanzania. Lake Manyara offers an insight into the Great Rift Valley system and the adaptation of many herd animals and magnificent birdlife. We continue Esilalei Maasai Village to explore the area. In the late afternoon, we zig zag our way up the Rift Valley Escarpment and onto the crater highlands for overnight. The lodge is located on the very edge of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where the wildlife roams freely uninhibited.

Short drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongoro is collapsed volcano – an incredible natural amphitheatre, 25 km across and teeming with all of the African big game. Early morning descent into the crater for spectacular scenery and game viewing in what has been described as the eighth wonder of the world. Tonight, we are staying on the crater rim, it is quite common for zebra, buffalo and even elephant to be grazing right outside the lodge.

We depart after breakfast to the endless plains of the Serengeti. Upon entering the Serengeti, we are able to game drive all the way to our special camp area. The camp is mobile, following the migration patterns and therefore locations vary throughout the year from northern Serengeti to far southern plains at Ndutu.

We enjoy further exploration of the endless plains. The habitats are natural and we can game drive with a picnic lunch to explore further afield. There are resident cats and herd animals for us to observe.

We transfer out of the Serengeti, passing through Olduvai Gorge. We enjoy lunch and a view of the archaeological sites (and visit the museum) where early human tools and fossils have been found. We set off in the direction of Tarangire National Park and arrive to our camp for sunset. This camp provides us with a classic bush experience that ensures intimacy.

Early morning game driving in Tarangire National Park; this park is famed for its massive elephant herds, true sense of wilderness and backdrop of baobabs. This is true Africa and the perfect way to end our adventures. You are then transferred to Arusha and your departure point or lodge.

Drive from the Highview Hotel to Lake Eyasi. You will see great birdlife along the shore, and location alone makes it a great place to spend a couple of nights. Also, the meadows along the lake shores and forest are home to a wide variety of wildlife including leopard, hippos, a variety of monkeys, various birds, greater and lesser flamingoes, storks, and pelicans. Several pleasant, private campsites are located in forest clearings by the lake, and these provide grassy tent spaces and shower facilities made mostly from local materials.

The drive to Serengeti via Olduvai Gorge takes 3 to 4 hours. Olduvai Gorge is an archaeological site located in the eastern Serengeti plains, in which early human fossils were first discovered. It has an amazing landscape that resulted from the same tectonic forces that created the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago.

After breakfast, venture into the Serengeti’s wilderness corners for a full day of game viewing in the park. With a picnic lunch beside you, take your leisure while exploring this world heritage site, where earth’s largest concentration of plain game still roams free

After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive inside the crater. This is the best place in Tanzania to see black rhino as well as the pride of lions that include the magnificent black-maned males. There are lots of colorful flamingoes and a variety of water birds. Other game that you can see includes leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family, and small mammals.

The drive from Karatu to Tarangire National Park takes two hours. This park is spectacular in the dry season when many of the migratory wildlife species come back to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and Oryx gather to stay in Tarangire until the onset of the rain when they migrate again to good grazing areas. In the late afternoon, drive back to Arusha.

Today, you collect your picnic hot lunch and your safari really begins as we start early from your Arusha hotel for our pleasant drive westwards to Lake Manyara National Park. exploring the stunning landscape of the park, looking for wildlife on the plains, in the acacia woodlands and by the shores of the shallow alkaline lake.

Lake Manyara is rightly famous for its tree-climbing lions, but they’re far from the only highlight: by the end of an exhilarating afternoon, you could easily have spotted elephant, hippo, wildebeest, buffalo and giraffe, plus many other species. Pink-hued flamingos, one of 400 bird species recorded here, provide a splash of color. At the end of the afternoon, it’s back to your camp for some relaxation and a delicious dinner.

After breakfast, we collect our lunch boxes and leave Lake Manyara National Park. Our journey takes us west and north, our exciting destination being a name familiar to everyone – the Serengeti! Along the way, the sheer scale of the territory and the raw beauty of the landscapes reveal themselves and your driver-guide will help you to spot animals and birds. This is just a preview of things to come, for the Serengeti is home to what is possibly the world’s greatest gathering of wildlife.

After enjoying a picnic lunch, you’ll be eager to pursue some more great wildlife-spotting opportunities in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Set in the grasslands, savannahs, woods and mountain scenery, which creature will show itself next? These ‘endless plains’ are home to elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, hippo and crocodile… the adventure has truly begun. At the end of the afternoon, exhausted and exhilarated, it’s back to your chosen accommodation for dinner and to talk about the many fantastic experiences you’ve had today.

The exciting sounds of Africa will rouse you from your sleep. We make the most of the day, your driver-guide meeting you for a 08:00 start, to head off on our morning game-drive. Later, the adventure will continue when we travel up to Ngorongoro, another African natural icon.

It’s almost impossible to spend too much time in Serengeti and with more than 1.6 million herbivores – plus thousands of predators – there’s always something new and interesting to see. The changing seasons and natural light simply add to the diversity. This morning your driver-guide will help you spot some more of the many species at Serengeti, teaching you about their fascinating habits and habitats.

After a pleasant picnic lunch, it’s time to drive eastwards to visit another spectacular setting for Tanzania’s wildlife, the famous Ngorongoro Crater. On arrival, settle in at the camp while a tasty, hot dinner is prepared for you. Tomorrow, the wonders of the Ngorongoro Crater await us.

Today may be ‘departure day’, but there will be plenty of time to enjoy another true spectacle, before your thoughts turn to home. Ngorongoro Crater is often referred to as a wonder of the world and your early morning game drive shows you why.

First, there’s the volcanic caldera (the world’s largest), full of grassland, forest and swamp, a setting of jaw-dropping beauty. Secondly, the permanent water of the crater floor supports a resident population of more than 25,000 large mammals. Here you’ll find many of the reasons you chose to come on safari: elephant, lion,

leopard, hyena, jackal, wallowing hippo, waterbuck, baboons… even the rare black rhino finds shelter here.

Sharing this awesome space with the animals are the Maasai, grazing their cattle in an area which has been a separate conservation area since 1956 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1978. This harmonious co-habitation of man and beast makes Ngorongoro unique in Tanzania and your driver guide will be pleased to explain this incredible co-existence to you.

After your early morning game drive, we have our picnic lunch in the crater before we return to the airport for your flight home. You will drive for 5 hours from Ngorongoro Crater floor to Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Journey time and Distance: 5 hours, 245 km from Ngorongoro Crater Tour to Airport.

After an early breakfast, depart with picnic lunch and drive to the Eden of Africa, for a game drive. Animals in the Ngorongoro crater include prides of lions, clans of hyenas, packs of jackals, a crash of hippos, dazzles of zebras, herds wildebeests, bulls of elephants often with incredibly long tusks because of the highly nutritious grass rich in minerals, and many more animals. It is also the best place to spot the rare black rhino. In the late afternoon you will continue to your lodge. You will have a hot shower to keep you fresh again after the African massage (the bumpy and dusty drive), then meet your guide at the fire place for a cold beer and story swapping. In a clear night you will have opportunity to learn about the African night sky as you wait for your dinner. Hyenas and lions are often heard roaring as you seat from the fire place that gives you unique experience of African night in the wild. After your diner you will be escorted by Maasai warriors to your rooms for overnight.

Wake up early in the morning for a cup of coffee/tea and snacks then collect your picnic breakfast and depart for game drive. Animals are normally seen right from the camp and in the early morning you still have chances to see them active. Serengeti is the park with the largest concentration of big mammals in the world and it is where you will see most of your exciting wildlife. The sightings in the central Serengeti will include prides of lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hippos, impalas, dik dik, monkeys, baboons, gazelles, warthogs and many more. You will return to your lodge for hot lunch and a short siesta, then depart for another game drive in the afternoon. In the evening again you will seat with your guide at the fire place and get some information about Tanzania from the pre-colonial time to independence until now. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge

After breakfast you will have morning game drive in Serengeti national park. In the late afternoon continue to your property at Karatu for dinner. After dinner you may wish to go out with your guide for a drink in a local per to have fun with the local people. Overnight will be at your lodge

After early breakfast you will drive to Tarangire national park for a game drive. This park has the largest concentration of elephants, often seen bathing in the Tarangire river, lots of giraffes, monkeys, impalas and many birds. It is also one of the best places to see lions, leopards and lions. In the late afternoon you return back to Arusha for your departure/continue with own arrangement.
